Supaman Nominated for Native American Music Award

  • The video Sky World has been nominated for a Native American Music Award for best video. The song by Theresa Bear Fox was performed by Teio Swathe and put together with slow motion imagery of Supaman dancing on the white sands in New Mexico. It was an impulsive project meant to bring awareness to the missing and murdered Indigenous women which is an ongoing epidemic. The video has received nearly  13 million views thus far and has touched the lives of many people who live with the reality of someone missing in their lives as well as those who have lost love ones also. 

Red Ants Pants Festival

  • Supaman's early performance at the Red Ants Pants festival in White Sulphur Springs was a big hit and one to remember. People packed the field to see a one of a kind performance from Montana's own. The first words he shared with the mostly non native crowd was "welcome to Apsaalooke country" acknowledging the land they were on followed by a well received performance for a crowd of all ages. 

Supaman wins two Indigenous Music Awards

  • Supaman was recently nominated for 3 Indigenous Music Awards, Best Hip Hop Album, Best Producer, and Best Video! He was able to attend the Awards along side some of the most talented artists around the world which took place in Winnipeg Manitoba. Before the night was over Supaman won two of the three categories he was nominated for which were Best Hip Hop Album and Best Producer! When asked how it felt to win 2 Indigenous Music Awards, Supaman replied "It was definitely a humbling experience just to be nominated. So to win 2 of the 3 awards was a huge honor and a blessing". He thanked all the Indigenous women in his life who continue to inspire him and his family to this day.

As a member of the “Apsaalooke Nation”, Supaman makes his home on the Crow reservation in Montana. “Supaman” Is Christian Takes Gun Parrish, a Native American dancer and innovative hip hop artist who has dedicated his life to empowering and spreading a message of hope and faith through hip hop music. He has been the recipient of the 2017 MTV VMA award for “Best Fight Against the System”! He is also a Nammy “Native American Music Award” winner, “North American Indigenous Image Award”, and  7 “Tunney Awards”. He recently was awarded  The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award in Canada for best video and was voted MTV’s new Artist of the Week! His latest video’s titled “Prayer Loop Song” and “Why” both have gone viral and have received over 3 million views on youtube and facebook which has put him in high demand touring extensively throughout the U.S.A and internationally. He has performed for Google at the Google headquarters in San Francisco and got to dance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City. He recently was asked to audition for America’s Got Talent and the Broadway play Hamilton. He is currently working with Taboo from the multi grammy award winning group “Black Eyed Peas” looking to complete a project in the coming months with his group Mag7.

For this he has gained the respect of his culture and generation. The communicative talent along with the compassion that exudes from his music allows him to connect with people from all walks of life. His uncanny ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire through dance, and hip hop music keeps him at the forefront among his contemporaries which gives him a platform to educate on Indigenous issues.
